Prof. Dr. Sebastián CollinsB.Sc. in Chemistry, UNL (2000) and PhD in Chemistry, UNL (2005). Independent Researcher of the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET) at the Institute of Technological Development of Chemical Industry (INTEC) and Full Professor at School of Chemical Engineering (UNL).
His scientific interests lie in the development of spectroscopic micro-reactors for mechanistic studies by infrared spectroscopy, incluging liquid (ATR), and gas (DRIFT), and transients time-resolved technicques such as modulation excitationa spectroscopy (MES) to selectively identify intermediate reaction species. Some catalystic systems under study includes: i) Au-M bimetallic catalysts for VOC abatement, ii) double and triple-bonds selective hydrogenation, iii) enzymatic reactions for industrial applications. He has received Young Researchers Award by the National Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences (2015), “International Fellowship Initiative of the Chinese Academy of Science” (2015), “Young Researcher in Catalysis and Catalytic Processes” Award by the National Catalysis Committee (2007).
